Career Fairs Are Coming!

Attending a Career Fair is a great way to build your professional network, introduce yourself to potential employers, and learn more about potential employers and their opportunities for hire.

To make the most of your Career Fair experience:

  • Make sure to register for the fair, if required

  • Research the participating employers

  • Know your career objective

  • Bring copies of your updated, polished resume

  • Have an elevator pitch!

  • Dress professionally

  • Get contact information and keep track of who you meet

  • Send thank you notes, and ask about next steps

While Career Fairs may be the first time you are trying out your networking and job seeking skills, it certainly won't be the last! In today’s world you never know when a job or internship opportunity may arise - it could be at the dinner table or when visiting a professor’s office hours.
