We are thrilled with Logan's progress! He is doing so well and attributes a lot of it to his work with College Success Plan! He is learning to get organized, manage his time and utilize the block schedule, and seems to be on target for a great first semester. I was so nervous about him starting college after all of the remote learning and really appreciate your guidance.
“Thank you so much for the summary of Allie’s first semester at SMU. Needless to say, we are thrilled that she did so well given all of the adjustments she had to make as an incoming freshman and we credit a lot of her success to you! We will definitely be signing her brother Patrick up for the First Year Summer Starter Workshop this summer!”
“I wanted to share with you that Anna was pleasantly surprised last week when she received an email from the University of Cincinnati with a certificate saying she had made the Dean’s List!! Again, I can’t tell you how happy that makes us for her! Thank you for all you do!”
“Having a coach work with Brooke has taken the pressure off of me in trying to micromanage her so that she’s getting her work done. I’m also less anxious at the end of the semester because there are no surprises with her grades. I’m so appreciative of all your support! Thank you SO much!!“
“Thank you for this thorough report on Elliot’s academic success. We are equally as thrilled and impressed by Elliot’s work last semester. Ben, thank you for all you have done for Elliot. If the goal was to make him independent, accountable, and successful you have delivered in spades.“
“Thank goodness College Success Plan has entered Sara’s life!! When I spoke with her on Saturday she said she had exams on Monday and Tuesday and a paper due Thursday. I texted her to ask how her first exam went and she said “Great!” I never heard her say that about an exam before today. Thank you for keeping her so organized. I sleep so much better knowing that you are helping her stay on track.“
“College Success Plan gave our son the confidence that he can handle college. He can now communicate well with his professors and other administrators at his school. For example, on one test he did not get the time and a half he was entitled to, so he contacted the teacher and asked to retake the test with the extra time. Doing so took him from a B to an A!“

Elena’s mom Nancy called College Success Plan ready to give up. In fact, she was convinced she would be on her way to bring Elena home any day now. The missed assignments were adding up … Nancy wasn’t even sure if Elena knew where to find her work … there were just so many places to look. Her first quiz, Elena wasn’t even sure she was there for the right subject … somehow the other students knew what to study but she had no idea. And, always challenged with social anxiety, Elena didn’t even know how to begin to ask for help from her professors. Calls between mom and daughter were growing increasingly tense, with mom trying to help Elena stay on track and Elena just feeling like mom kept treating her like a child.
“I don’t think Elena would have stuck it out without College Success Plan,” reflected Nancy. “Right away, it felt like a weight had been lifted between us … someone else was there to help guide Elena and I did not feel like I needed to be on top of her assignments constantly…” Based on her in-depth conversation with Nancy, Elizabeth Pyle selected Kate, one of College Success Plan’s highly trained coaches to work with Elena. Together, Elena and Kate created a realistic study plan, one that allowed Elena to enjoy the social side of college also. Each week, they mapped out what needed to get done, and focused on ways to tackle the myriad of projects, papers, blog posts, problem sets, and more that were all new to Elena. And Kate was not just a face on a Zoom call once a week … check-ins by text and email, updates to Nancy … within weeks Elena felt more in control and confident about her classes. She and Kate even came up with some extracurriculars for Elena to try … adding to her college experience.
Daniel was thrilled to be accepted to his dream school - his state’s flagship university with all the rah-rah and unique opportunities available at a school with tens of thousands of undergrads. Very quickly though Daniel felt out of control with his studies. “I really just had no idea what was expected of me as a college student. In high school I went to school, went to sports - I did the work my teachers assigned at night and I did pretty well.
A couple of weeks into college though, I started getting zeros on a bunch of assignments … assignments I didn’t even know I had! Sure I had a lot more time on my hands to do work, but I really didn’t even know how to find my assignments, or how to manage several large projects and papers at the same time. It got so complicated that I got overwhelmed and kind of gave up. And I play club lacrosse … I love it, but it takes up a lot of time.”
Daniel’s parents had heard about a friend’s son who had worked with College Success Plan and told Daniel to take a look at the website and think about whether working with an academic coach might help him get back on track. “Looking back on this year I know that I am in a much better place having had Kelli on my side,” reflected Daniel. “From our first meeting, I felt that she ‘got it.’ She wasn’t telling me not to go out and have fun, or not to play lacrosse, instead, she helped me stay organized and plan so that I could study and have time to enjoy the other parts of college. We set up a block schedule so I could visualize when I had time to get my work done, and I learned a lot of ways to study smarter so that the time I spent studying was more effective.”
“Kelli really kept me accountable and was there whenever I had questions or needed help approaching an assignment or even emailing my professors. I’m pretty proud of how I did this semester and how far I’ve come since high school!”
